I am pretty certain we have all heard of Alix Earle and her complete and total beauty take over, especially with the White Eye Liner in our water lines, but lets talk about how she completely made Drunk Elephant's D-Bronzi Drops leap off all of the shelves on their Website, Sephora, and Ulta. This created a complete frenzy on how to get my hands on them! Were they worth the hype? I was also completely swayed by the popularity of this product and when they finally alerted me with a restock I took the plunge, now that I have them in my pretty little hands lets dive in.
First things first: What are the D-Bronzi drops?
Drunk Elephant markets them on their website as " A just-got-back-from-somewhere sunny glow that flatters every complexion. It's and easy way to get a bronzy glow with out the long-term consequences". Ok Drunk Elephant get on with your bad self. A simple way to look tan with out the harsh Uv-rays, and chemicals, oh and no smell, sweet let's give it a go.
How to use: I have decided to add the D-Bronzi drops into my Drunk Elephant moisturizer pre make up, let's be real it's currently February in NOVA and my face is a bit pale, let's add some bronze.
Step 1; One pump of Protini Polypeptide Cream
Step 2: Two to three drops of D-Bronzi Drops (or more depending on level of glow you wish to receive, but with this product a little goes a long way IMHO)
Step 3: Mix
Step 4: Apply to face and neck
Step 5: HOLY GLOW...did I just get back from a tropical getaway??
The glow is real, I instantly feel like I have spent a few hours in the sun, my face appears not only moisturized but tan. Another plus about this product is that it is seemingly streak free, I am not one for using self tanner as I feel like I can never get the darn thing even all over my body and I always appear orange and streaky. This product doesn't turn you into an oompa loompa, but gives a golden glow appearance with out splotches and streaks, WIN in my book.
Reason #2 That I love this product, once the product is absorbed into your skin, it does not rub off on clothing, there will be zero worry about that gorgeous white shirt you are about to throw on to make that glow pop. Once you have finished your regular make up routine, you are all set...ready..and glowing. WIN in my book.
Reason #3 1,2,3 cleanse skin and the product is removed. What does this mean? At the end of the day, as you wash your face, this product is completely removed from your skin, meaning there is no uneven fading, no splotching, when you are done with your glow, you simply wash this product off with your favorite facial cleanser. No exfoliating needed. ;lather, rinse, and pat dry, follow up with your favorite nightly skin care routine and start again tomorrow.
Is this product worth the hype and frenzy??
I give the Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi drops a 10/10, not only do they save your skin the nasty chemicals and harmful UV Rays, they are easy to use for the morning rush, with or with out make up you will feel like a million bucks!! Another WIN in my book...now go grab yourself some and get your GLOW ON Girl!
